Purpose, Not Plan
This quote by Bob Goff has been on instant replay in my mind since I read it last week. It is one of the things that is grounding me right now and I think can ground a lot of us during this time.
14 months ago, I thought we had a “plan” and then Christian died.
A couple months ago, we all thought we had a “plan” and then the coronavirus hit.
And now, we continue to ask God for a new plan and He keeps trying to remind us of our PURPOSE, which is much more important than any plan.
The question is…Are we listening?
Trying to figure out “what is my purpose” feels really overwhelming…so instead, I think we need to be asking “How do I want to BE in the world? Who is God calling me to BE? What does that look like?”
I think our Life’s Purpose naturally flows out of WHO WE ARE - so we need to focus on lining up Who We Are, with Who God Is Calling Us To Be.
The beautiful thing about God is that when he created the world, he didn’t create robots - he created human beings. So our Purpose will look different for everyone and that’s what makes this world so beautiful.
The Truth is, these are big questions.
The Truth is, this is the time to be asking them.
The Truth is, we are meant to learn and grow from every life experience.
The Truth is, you will regret it if this time is wasted.
Lean into these questions.
Don’t be afraid to look inward.
Ask for help while you do.
I promise that God has something amazing in store to show you and I’m not asking you to throw open the gates…you just have to be courageous enough to crack the window and let the Light in!!
As you listen to your heart, I want you to know that I am always here to help and listen with you. Gently. Safely. Lovingly. My favorite part of being a Spiritual, Life and Creative Coach is helping people take the courageous step of cracking open a window into their Soul so that they can feel the warmth of the Light and see what they discover.
